Fasting in Ramadan, the 9th month in the Hijri Calendar is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. In this month, Allah has made fasting obligatory upon Muslims, as He had to earlier peoples and nations. Ramadan is an annual training programme to refresh us for carrying out our duties towards Allah. This booklet contains guidance for Muslims regarding how to spend this month and various etiquettes and acts of worship associated with this month e.g. Fasting, Charity, Taraweeh and Itikaaf.
This booklet was initially published on the internet by Islamicknowledge.com. The internet version has been thoroughly reviewed and presentation has been significantly improved by Darussalam.
